  • It appears that blogger Robert Alai has got himself into more trouble after he was issued with a summons to appear before the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) on Monday to respond to allegations that he made statements amounting to ‘hate speech’ on Facebook.
According to the summons, which the Kenyan DAILY POST has seen, Alai is to answer questions about a post he made on Facebook on July 22nd 2012 which alleged that the

“IEBC has removed the name Henry Kosgey and Sally Kosgey from the ODM nomination list to set up Kalenjins against Raila.”

The letter also warns Alai to respond to the summons as if it was issued by the High Court of Kenya failure to which he shall be subject to contempt proceedings.

This latest development comes just weeks after Alai was arraigned before a Nairobi Court for making disparaging comments about Head of the Civil Service Francis Kimemia on the web.

Alai has previously also been in trouble for posting comments about former government Spokesman Alfred Mutua.
