The International Criminal Court (ICC) has suffered a huge blow today after one prosecution witness from the five recently recruited refused to testify against Deputy President William Ruto.
This is a big blow to Bensouda because not long ago, 3 witnesses withdrew from Uhuru’s case leaving only one. In April 4th, witnesses Number 2, 9, and 10 refused to testify and were among the 12 witnesses Bensouda relied on to have the charges confirmed by the ICC Pre-Trial Chamber II in January last year.
The case against Uhuru and Ruto seems to be crumbling every day. This adds up to a total of 13 witnesses who have refused to testify at the ICC.
